Day 20 , Queenstown to Winton, 199km, 1251m

Another esrly arart and onto the Queenstown track from Lake Hayes Estate to get into queenstown in time to fox my brakes and gears . The bike shop was unable to assist with the repairs on short notice but had all the parts i needed so i grabbed then and decided to  replace the rear gear cable outer and inner and install some new brake pads on the Earnslaw .

A quick stop at the Bespoke Kitchen with an old and dear friend and then a quick ride down to the boat.
The view from the bow cabin of the  Earnslaw.

Looking back at Queenstown, another of our photo controls.

I was not the only one on the boat with a bike this day .

The day turned out to be fantastic , slight tail wind for the first 40 km with a little head wind after but nothing compared to previous and now in a bunch of three it was nice to share the wind load. I was quickly joined up the road from Walter peak by Stu and Richard from Auckland.

A few on the local natives.

The view down the lake to Glenorchy.

Our last real hill of the entire journey !
